Heraklion Canine Society  Double CACIB Show on 6th & 7th of  September, 2008.   The Heraklion Canine Society is happy to announce that during the double Cacib Show of the 6th and 7th September,there will be also be Special Shows (with CAC awarded) for all breeds of Groups 3, 4 and 9. This is a unique opportunity for Greek and foreign exhibitors of those breeds belonging to these groups, to have their dogs assesed by three different judges, therefore having the possibility to be awarded three CACs and thus become Greek Champions in one weekend!!! The Show will be held at the very hospitable area of the International Fair Centre of Crete DEKK, in Gournes Pediados of Heraklion on the beautiful island of Crete. The judges are: Dan Ericsson (Sweden), Hans V. D. Berg (Netherlands), Deutscher Erwin (Austria), Peter Arth (Germany S.V.) and the Greek judges, George Kostopoulos and Nikolaos Karagiannis. To anyone wanting to combine their hobby of dog showing and a vacation on a lovely Greek island, now is your chance! The weather is lovely during September (not TOO hot which is especially good for the dogs) but warm enough to hit the beaches.... The island of Crete has many beautiful beaches and as it is a large island, gives a large variety of places to visit. For those of you who are interested in ancient history, there is also the palace of Knossos to visit, built during the Minoan period. A perfect time for anyone wishing to visit a Greek island, combining a few days of rest with a nice dog show.
